The Reaching India Baptist Mission is a local church ministry established to start churches in India. Through this ministry, the Ebenezer Gospel Team, a full-time team of church planters, goes from village to village attempting to reach people for Christ with the Gospel, and then establish a church. This team conducts meetings every day in a village until they find a convert willing to use their home to begin a Bible study. When the Bible study grows large enough to establish a church, a graduate from the Bible College is sent to be the Pastor. This allows the Ebenezer Gospel Team to move on to another village.
In the land of India, many are persecuted for their testimony for Christ. Those that open their homes for Bible studies are often persecuted. New believers often lose their friends, family and even their jobs. Members of the Gospel Team also face heated persecution at times. Some have been beaten in villages where many reject the Gospel of Christ. Please pray for the Gospel Team, Pastor Thomson's family, and all those that labor in the great land of India.
